LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - The City of Lawton is opening a new drive-thru utility payment kiosk that is designed to streamline the utility payment process for residents.

It will be located at the northwest corner of Lawton City Hall’s parking lot, 212 SW 9th Street.

The facility will feature both drive-thru service and a self-service kiosk for after-hours payments.

The drive-thru will soft launch on December 5, 2024, allowing citizens to start utilizing the drive-thru service ahead of the official opening.

Following the soft launch, residents can utilize the drive-thru service, which will be staffed by Utility Services personnel from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

This setup is designed to facilitate a quick and hassle-free payment experience. To ensure smooth service, residents are encouraged to have their account number, address, and payment method ready upon arrival.

For those needing to pay after hours, the self-service kiosk will allow residents to pay their utility bills by scanning their bill or entering their account information. It supports various payment methods, including cash, check, and credit cards. Additionally, the kiosk features live support for assistance with any issues that may arise during the payment process.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be at 4:30 p.m. on December 10, 2024, as they officially mark the grand opening of the facility.
