Fort Lauderdale, FL - The city has recently acquired a pair of self-service kiosks to reduce the costs of cashiering services and to provide a more convenient way to collect utility payments.
The self-service kiosk is known as the Justified Automated Collections Kiosk (JACK), There are no additional fees for using JACK’s touch screen kiosk.
The kiosk has voice recognition features that can be easily navigated by anyone wishing to make a bill payment. Utility customers can pay using any method such as cash, checks/Money Orders and Debit/Credit Cards (American Express®, Discover®, MasterCard® or Visa®).
JACK was engineered with advanced hardware that collects cash, checks, and ability to print paper-receipts. JACK operates as a bilingual, real-time utility payment booth, that not only allows residents to pay their outstanding bills, but uploads your payment data to your account in real-time.The residents can choose to view their outstanding payments or account details by scanning their bill or entering their address, last name, or an account number.
JACK also supports the Go Green Initiative which allows the users to opt for an email copy of their receipt instead of it being printed. Within the first 12 weeks of JACK going live a total amount of 3 million dollars in payments were recorded. These impressive statistics of the first few months show how adopting new technologies, such as the kiosk, is providing more convenient services to the City of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
